L series turbo engine to a GM Turbo Hydro 400 trans. I found a machine shop that made a custom adaptor set up. He needed the block with crank in place, the transmission case, and torque converter. It fits perfectly, and the only "clitch" was a time consuming balance of the piece that connected the two flex plates. I would think you could have the same thing made, mating your V8 block and crank to the standard Z trans. It will probably be pricey. There are companies that make adaptors for various engine to trans swaps, but as Nixit stated, quality can be suspect. If you get a bad (crappy was the technical term) one, it can be more costly and time consuming to make it fit than having one made by a shop that takes some pride in it's workmanship and does it right. Good luck, Mark
